For identification, registration, and service purposes, it is essential that the chassis number VIN can be located quickly and accurately. Below you will find a clear description per product type indicating where the chassis number is physically positioned on each unit.
The chassis number is permanently stamped or affixed to a fixed structural component of the main chassis.
E13T-Trailer 44ft and E13H-Touchdown 44ft
Location
Inside of the chassis at the right front side.
Position description
The chassis number is located on the inner side of the main chassis beam in the front section of the frame. It is visible when inspecting underneath the unit and can be found on the inside of the steel load bearing structure.
E16HU-Touchdown 53ft, E16TU-Trailer 53ft and E11HU-Touchdown 38ft
Location
Outside of the chassis at the right front side.
Position description
The chassis number is applied on the outer side of the chassis beam at the front of the unit. It is positioned low on the frame and can be visually inspected from the outside without removing any components.
EO3 and EOH Trailer model year 2024 and older
Location
Outside of the chassis at the right front side.
Position description
For the EO3 and EOH trailer model year 2024 and newer, the chassis number is located on the outside of the main chassis at the front section of the trailer. The position is within the forward frame area near the drawbar construction.
E7P-Pod 25ft
Location
Left rear side against the cross beam.
Position description
The chassis number is positioned at the left rear side of the chassis and is stamped against a transverse cross beam of the frame construction. It is visible from the rear underside of the unit.
E9P-Pod 30ft
Location
Left rear side on the outside of the chassis beam.
Position description
For the E9P, the chassis number is located on the outer surface of the chassis beam at the left rear side of the unit. The number is directly visible on the exterior of the frame.
EA765-Container 25ft and EA915-Container 30ft
Location
Inside of the side beam.
Position description
The chassis number is applied on the inner side of the side beam of the frame. Inspection requires visual access to the inside of the structural frame beneath the container.
Important Notes
The chassis number is permanently affixed to a fixed structural part of the chassis and forms an integral part of the steel construction.
In some cases, dirt or coating may reduce visibility. Clean the surface carefully if necessary. The chassis number must always be used for registration, licensing procedures, warranty and service requests, and identification for production or retrofit related inquiries.
